Chiropractic care is a holistic approach that focuses on the spine's relationship with the nervous system, providing effective relief and a myriad of benefits for common conditions. It alleviates back and neck pain, reduces the frequency and severity of headaches, relieves joint discomfort, and addresses postural issues. Chiropractic adjustments can also aid in recovering from sports injuries, enhancing sports performance, and promoting faster healing of auto accident injuries. This patient-centered approach offers natural relief and improved well-being for individuals seeking a drug-free solution.
Therapeutic Massage involves more focused work on your body’s soft tissue — the muscles, tendons and ligaments that move and support your body. The therapist will tailor the massage to your needs, depending on where the issue is as well as what they feel. Focused massage techniques can help decrease pain and increase your range of motion, make it easier to move and function more normally, and help you heal faster from a variety of medical concerns such as headaches. Massage will also help remove tension, break up adhesions and scar tissue, as well as flushes lactic acid and other toxins out of muscle tissue. By combining the hands-on techniques of therapeutic massage and chiropractic, we can get better joint and muscle motion and shorter treatment times for patients.
Assisted Stretching has countless benefits, including reducing pain, improving range of motion and mobility, improving flexibility, and maintaining or restoring function. Assisted Stretching is customized to what the patient needs to help correct the underlying issue due to faulty movement patterns.
Mechanical Intersegmental Traction Table, also known as an intersegmental or roller table, is a device used in chiropractic clinics to provide passive spinal traction. The table consists of a padded surface with motorized rollers that move back and forth along the patient's spine. This rolling motion gently stretches and mobilizes the vertebrae, promoting spinal joint movement, relieving muscle tension, and enhancing flexibility. It is commonly used alongside chiropractic adjustments to improve spinal alignment and overall spinal health.
Kinesiology Tape is a stretchy, elastic support tape that is applied to help support a muscle without restricting motion the area. K-tape adhesive is waterproof and sweat proof meaning it can last 3-5 days on your body once applied. K-tape can help improve flexibility and range of motion, decrease pain, decreased muscle tension, decrease muscle adhesion or trigger points, improve circulation, reduce swelling, improved posture and muscle support, and help promote healing. Kinesiotape can help re-train muscles that have lost function or that have gotten used to an unhealthy way of working which will complement chiropractic adjustments.
Cupping is a technique that uses vacuum-like suction to create a negative pressure which allows for soft tissue decompression. While massage therapy uses direct pressure to relieve tension, cupping uses negative pressure to lift muscle fibers and increase circulation to that area.
Gua Sha is the practice of using a tool to apply pressure on the skin and gently scraping it to release tension and pain. This movement results in minor bruising, which frequently takes the form of petechiae, which are red or purple spots. Microtrauma is the term for minor bodily wounds, such as the petechiae brought on by gua sha. These trigger a reaction in the body that could aid in reducing scar tissue, reducing muscle adhesions, improving mobility, and increasing blood flow to the area.
Whole Body Vibration is a technique where you sit, stand, hold positions, or perform exercises while on a vibrating platform. The machine vibrates at a programmed frequency, amplitude, or magnitude of oscillation which can be adjusted. WBV can increase neuromuscular performance, improve muscle strength, help with balance and gait, improve flexibility, stimulate lymphatic system, burns fat, increase bone density, boosts immune system, and decrease cortisol levels. Since WBV helps neuromuscular function, this supports postural muscles and spinal correction which can help hold chiropractic adjustments longer!
Electric Muscle Stimulation (E-stim) is a therapy where a device is used to send mild electrical impulses to a nerve or muscle group. This stimulation causes rhythmic muscle contraction that can help retrain the muscle, relieve pain, and improve blood flow. This treatment may sound a bit scary but it feels amazing and most patient notice immediate relief once treatment is over! We also add a heating pad or ice pack with this treatment for even more relief.
